Rose of the mountain
Trying to locate this song from the late '40's early '50's.
Did you try typing that into the search box at the top of each page?
That will show you who had a hit with it (in 1951)

#35 - Sixty Minute Man
This was selected for Grammy Hall of Fame in 2015. You probably have it listed under 'The Dominoes' (rather than Billy Ward & The Dominoes).
Your guess was right, data fixed, thanks

Maybe you can help
My brothers and I remember a record Dad used to play that had a chorus that sounded like they were singing "Ka viva viva vit". We're all in our early 60's so the song was probably written or being played about the period of 5 years either side of 1950.
It was sung by a group, male and female in close harmony and had a bit of accordian in there and sounded a bit "Jo Stafford-ish". I can sing the tune all the way through but don't know the words and don't know the title. Do you have any idea what it could be called?
Here at the Turret we have no idea, maybe one of our users can help?

don't know the year - help!
I am trying to find a song, and was hoping you could help - I don't know if it was even a song in the 50s - it could have been in the 40s, but it was my mother's favor song in 1952 when she was 14. I know this because she wrote it in her Jr. HS autograph book....The name of the song is "There in My Heart".
My mom died in 1968, so I can't ask her. +I would love to know what song was her favorite when she was a young girl.
Thank you Reina
We can't find a song called "There in My Heart", however Al Martino had a massive hit with "Here in My Heart" in 1952. That is almost certainly the one you're after, there's a recording of him singing it on YouTube

16 - Eddie Fisher - Anytime
In youtube I just see the album Eddie Fisher cover.
I think the song should be "Any Time" not "Anytime" according to the cover. Thanks.
Lin
Yes you are correct the song was released in the states with the name "Any Time" in 1952.
However Eddy Arnold released a song called "Anytime" in 1948, now we don't know if they are the same song or not, but what we've done is to change Eddie Fisher's title to allow users to find both songs under the same title.
We have the same sort of thing with songs by Wham! and George Michael. The song "Careless Whisper" was released as a Wham! song in North America and a George Michael song everywhere else so on this site all the US charts have been fixed to credit George Michael with the song so that users can get a complete picture of its success.
There is no perfect solution to this issue, we've decided to merge, because once a user is aware of the connection they can find the actual title in their country and reject it, but if we don't merge they won't be aware of the link.

Jet/Nat Cole song 1951
I can't find Jet on the computer. Any suggestions?
Have you tried searching on iTunes and Amazon.com? The both have versions of the song available as digital downloads
