This site is the best thing that happened to me!
I started in 1960 and went through all 44 years to 2004. Listened to each year for a while and continued to the next. Been doing that since for four years now since 2014. I learned so much about the evolution of music from this. Soon my journey will end. It looks like that the lists of the years 2009-2018 have less sources. I love that this list combine so many charts from many countries. I hope that you will add to the lists of 2009-2018 more sources like there are in all the other years.
Thank you for everything you have done. Like I said this lists are my life andthey are so important to me :)
Thanks for the support. If you want to track the years 2000-2018 you should use the year lists at http://chart2000.com/
Have you also thought about the years before 1960?

I can't see +"The Magnificent Seven" Theme
Well first of all the song was a bigger hit in 1961 (in Italy, Canada and the UK), it entered the Billboard charts in Dec 1960 but had a longer run in 1961. Secondly it was not a big enough hit to make the 1961 top 100 anyway.

missing songs
What about Johnny Mathis - Misty - Maria - Chances Are - Etc.
What about Don and Juan - What's your name.
Top selling records were not segregated as they are today into seven hundreddivisions of music styles.
"Misty" is listed in 1959 not 1960 and "What's Your Name?" is listed in 1962.
We list songs according to the year that they were in charts (not the year of release, or when they were hits in the UK etc).
And we don't split into styles either (even the recent stuff)

song " Again "
I'm looking for the singer's name that song. It's the same one sung by Nat King Cole in the year 1959 or 1960, but more quickly. I have sended to you an email last week, without reply. Thanks.

No.92 Eddie Cochran
Hard to believe that Three Steps To Heaven never made the Billboard Top 100. Guess that the US had turned their back on Eddie and good hard rock and were more interested in Frankie Avalon, Fabian etc. from 1959 on.
Maurice (Canada)
PS I did buy the single and all my friends loved it but it was never played on radio. I remember the B side was Cut Across Charlie and in France Johnny Hallyday had the song translated had a big hit with Cours plus vite Charlie around 1967.

The Passions
Did any of the Passions hits chart high enough to be listed. They had some great songs.
The Passions have three hits, the one you are interested in is:
"Just To Be With You" (1959) - US Billboard 69 - Oct 1959 (10 weeks)
The other two hits are from 1981, so we guess a different group of the same name is responsible for "I'm in Love With a German Film Star".

Mystics
Where did the Mystics with their hit "Hush A Bye" fall in the charts? I have a group from 1959 also. I posted it there.
The Mystics had two hits, both in 1959:
"Hushabye" (1959) - Canada 5 - Jun 1959 (13 weeks), D.Marsh 13 of 1959, US Billboard 20 - May 1959 (15 weeks), US BB 36 of 1959, POP 36 of 1959, DDD 71 of 1959, US Radio 138 of 1959 (peak 20 1 week)
"Don't Take The Stars" (1959) - US Billboard 98 - Oct 1959 (2 weeks)

Entries for France and Belgium
Number 22 Edith Piaf - Milord : was released in France and Belgium in October 1959 with an immediate big success
Unfortunately the charts we have from Belgium are very sparse, with entries only back to 1965. The main French charts that we have only started in 1970, so too late for the song. We do have a listing of French numbers one records back to 1955, but that song is not on it.
If you can suggest charts that either cover Belgium before 1980 or France before 1970 we can take them into account and hence add the song.
