No.1 song-1928

Was Ramona the No. 1 song on July 21, 1926?

The variety of different charts published by Billboard make the definition of which record was "Number One" on any date before 1940 a difficult one to decide.

However, given the fact that the earliest chart entry for this song was 1927 (in France) and that it did not get into the Billboard chart until 1928, we would have to say the answer is no.

Ramona was NOT the No. 1 song in 1926.

If you are asking about 1928 it is possible, but you'd need to look at the nearest published edition.
