Rare instrumental from 1959
I have been searching for a rare song from 1959, called Moonlight Madness, by Lee Stone on Decca records. +It was totally instrumental, except at the beginning he said "I play for you, Moonlight Madness". Every site I search on only has the usual 100 suspects of hits. +Do you know anything about this record or where I can find out?
There was a song called "Moonlight Madness (Then You Were Gone)" that was a hit for Ted Lewis & his Orchestra in 1928. Maybe you should start from there?

Lloyd Price - Personality (Dupl. Listing)
Please take a look at #15. I've sent (2) e-mails to Lloyd Price page with no response. On that page #1 and #5 are the same recording. Should move this song up the list. Thanks.
We typically get more than 10,000 spam messages a day (and a few 10s of real ones) so we have some automated filters that attempt to remove all the bad and keep the good. It is likely that your messages to the Lloyd Price page were probably wrongly triggering the spam filters, we're sorry about that
Your suggestion is a good one, we've edited the data, thanks for being persistent

You are correct, the data has been fixed, thanks

Elvis Presley- Duplicate Listing
Shouldn't #86 be combined with #7 (A Fool Such As I ) and #27 (I Need Your Love Tonight ) ?
Almost. The song "(Now & then There's) A Fool Such As I" was a hit in 1959 in Canada and the UK. This was already noted. The entry you found should be listed under 2005 (when it was a hit again).
We've tried to correct the data. Thanks for getting us to look at it.

Sweet Child
I remember a song titled 'Sweet Child' in 1959 (possibly '58), but I don't remeber who sang it. It started "Down by the levee where the river boat goes lives a Louisiana farmer named Papa Devero" The chorus started "Sweet Child, livin' on the bayou, Sweet Child, livin' on the bayou". Other bit of the lyrics are "Sweet Child's goin' on 17, Sweet Child's gonna be a teen age queen".

song " Again " 1959 or 1960
Two singers recorded the song " Again " in 1959 or 1960. One was Nat King Cole. I need to know the name of other singer. Please, give me this information. Thank you. IVAN PATACHO ( BRAZIL )
The only version near 1959 that reached the charts was by The Universals in 1957.
However there were many more versions released in 1949 or 1950, that made it into the charts by Doris Day, Gordon Jenkins, Vic Damone, Mel Torme, Tommy Dorsey, Art Mooney, Vera Lynn and Charles Brown.

The Passions
Did any of the Passions hits chart high enough to be listed. They had some great songs.
The Passions have three hits, the one you are interested in is:
"Just To Be With You" (1959) - US Billboard 69 - Oct 1959 (10 weeks)
The other two hits are from 1981, so we guess a different group of the same name is responsible for "I'm in Love With a German Film Star".

Mystics
Where did the Mystics with their hit "Hush A Bye" fall in the charts? I have a group from 1959 also. I posted it there.
The Mystics had two hits, both in 1959:
"Hushabye" (1959) - Canada 5 - Jun 1959 (13 weeks), D.Marsh 13 of 1959, US Billboard 20 - May 1959 (15 weeks), US BB 36 of 1959, POP 36 of 1959, DDD 71 of 1959, US Radio 138 of 1959 (peak 20 1 week)
"Don't Take The Stars" (1959) - US Billboard 98 - Oct 1959 (2 weeks)

Dean Webb
Dean Webb released a couple of singles in 1859. "Hey Miss Fannie" and 'Rough With The Smooth'. Does anyone know their chart positions please,or,in fact, anything about his career. Thank You.
We don't have any entries for Dean Webb anywhere. 1859 is outside our time frame (but we suspect you meant 1959).
The song "Hey Miss Fannie" was released by The Clovers in 1952.
The song "Rough With The Smooth" was released by Shara Nelson in 1995.

Tragedy
Tragedy was a hit by Thomas Wayne, and was later a hit by The Fleetwoods. Theposter above was probably thinking of The Fleetwoods since they were, like The Browns, a trio consisting of one man and two women, and both groups were popular at the same time.

Kansas City
I think 'Kansas City' was by Wilbert Harrison, not Wilbur.
Having checked you are correct, some of the charts incorrectly list his name as Wilbur. We have fixed the problem.
Thanks for the input

27 & 24 Elvis Presley should be the same song
Please double check the following two songs from Elvis should be the same: 27 - Elvis Presley - (Now & then There's) A Fool Such As I and 1950s (1958), RYM 64 of 1958, Brazil 81 of 1959 34 - Elvis Presley - A Fool Such As I
Thanks.
Your correction has been noted and applied. The next release of the data will fix that. Thanks for the input.

song tragedy
Was the song "Tragedy" ever song by a group called "The Browns"
This site only lists hits, rather than all songs released by a particular group. So if you mean to ask did The Browns have a hit anywhere with a song called "Tragedy" we can answer that, they didn't.
We assume that the group you are referring to were the singers of "The Three Bells (Les Trois Cloches)" (which was a big hit in 1959).
They had less successful hits with "The Old Lamplighter", "Scarlet Ribbons (For Her Hair)", "Send Me the Pillow You Dream On", "Blue Christmas", "Ground Hog", "Heaven Fell Last Night", "Teen-Ex" and "The Old Master Painter". All between 1959 and 1962.
"Barbara & The Browns" also had a hit with "Big Party" in 1964, we assume that is a related act.
According to Wikipedia they disbanded in 1967 (although they reunited in 2006). The Wikipedia article has a list of the singles they released, which again doesn't have anything like the title you asked about.
