First of all, what a great find this site is. I find myself going through data for hours.
Onto my question now, I was struck by "She Will Be Loved" being ranked higher than "This Love" given my memory of the latter being everywhere and such a big hit. So I checked the CSV file for overall ratings/score and realized that while the scores for both singles were pretty close in US, Europe and rest of the world (SWBL doing slightly better in US, while TL being more successful in Europe and ROW - just like I remember) the one region that really gave the edge to SWBL was other English speaking countries - raw_eng score from CSV file for SWBL being 3.083 and only 0.833 for TL. Now my question is where does this discrepancy come from? Because from the data I'm looking at both songs did equally well in the UK (which should be by far the biggest market in this region compared to Canada, Australia etc.) and while SWBL did do better in Australia, it hardly explains such a big difference in points. Am I missing something?

The thing is that we have many charts for the US and UK and very few for Australia and New Zealand. The way the weighting works can over boost some records. There is no perfect way to adjust the scores, too little and these charts become a measure of what charts we have, too much and hits in France (for example) overwhealm the charts.
We have put a lot of effort to tune the way the weights are generated to give the best results. However there are inevitably some anomolies.

Intersting idea to listen to music before 1960, But in my opinion the real music started in 1964 with the beatles and the british invasion, So I will dicide soon if I want to listen to 50's music.
About chart2000.com it is not satisfying like your charts (They have 6 sources and you have so many more), So again I will be very happy if you will improvethe charts 2010-2018. By the way now I'm in the year 2007 :)

This site is the best thing that happened to me!
I started in 1960 and went through all 44 years to 2004. Listened to each year for a while and continued to the next. Been doing that since for four years now since 2014. I learned so much about the evolution of music from this. Soon my journey will end. It looks like that the lists of the years 2009-2018 have less sources. I love that this list combine so many charts from many countries. I hope that you will add to the lists of 2009-2018 more sources like there are in all the other years.
