The Nielsen soundscan figures of iron maiden's Uk sales seem to indicate thattheir certifications are outdated, it also seems probable for their sales in Germany and France.

that can't be right somewhere in time wasn't the 2nd best, Piece of mind comes after number of the beast in sales, followed by live after death,then powerslave.

somewhere in time wasn't the best, it was popular in the US , because their previous songs had been causing suicides there. So , they wrote "wasted years", as the demand of the states.

as a result wasted years was a no. 1 hit in the US mainstream charts. it also reached #11, their highest chart position in the US till " a matter of life and death". But thhat's all this album didn't sell as good as the others mentioned above.

The ranking are by success, not by album sales (album sales numbers are very unreliable and we notice you don't say where your numbers come from).

"The Number Of The Beast" was a hit in 10 countries, including number one in the UK and being in the "Acclaimed Albums" list. "Piece Of Mind" was a hit in 8 countries. So "The Number Of The Beast" was a greater worldwide success. The ordering of the three albumbs "Piece Of Mind", "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" and "Powerslave" is fairly dependant on the details of the scoring, but "The Number Of The Beast" is clearly higher scoring than all three.

according to EMI, The Number of the Beast and Somewhere in Time are the 2 best selling albums of theirs. TNOTB sold an estimated 14,000,000 world wide and is estimated that SIT sold more than 7,000,000 world wide

Did iron maiden sale more than 50 million? is it possible they sold over a 100 million worldwide?

Maiden also charted in countries such as Germany,Finland,etc.` But i can't see them chart here.Is it because they didn't chart that year? Can you please take a lopk at this. Thanks.

We do not have any chart for Finland, and Iron Maiden don't have any entries in Germany.

In your list there two albums called Live After Death - and both are from 1985. I guess, that it has to be only one album...
