Subject Matter Expert

A person that is an expert in a particular domain. Usually an experienced practitioner.

Often a particular domain will have its own specialised vocabulary, any systems that are targeted at particular groups of experts should stick to these terms. Or at the very least not use specialised words in ways that confuse or confound the experts.
