Internet

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that have adopted various RFC standards. Most notably the TCP/IP suite of protocols.

The collection of Request for Comments documents define all the key elements of the internet including the handling of web, email, news and other forms of communication. These standards are published by the Internet Engineering Task Force.
