The procedures carried out by the users within a business. The term is often employed to imply a longer range than the term "procedure" would, involving a number of systems and many participants. In fact many elements of practice and even policy might also be considered part of the "Business Process". The term business process has been used to describe a wide range of levels of detail, from a high-level description that does little more than mention the groups participating in a business decision to detailed documentation of the exact activities being carried out.
